Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as a skiing or snowboarding instructor at Niseko United ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan
  • Working with other staff members to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Minimum requirement of teaching skiing students up to a parallel ski turn on green (beginner) slopes
  • Minimum requirement of teaching snowboarding students up to linking turns on green (beginner) slopes
  • Teaching guests of all ages and nationalities
  • Working under various weather conditions and being adaptable to different weather



Required Skill Set:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a ski instructor or snowboard instructor
  • Must be a certified ski instructor (BASI, PSIA, CSIA, NZSIA, PSIA, or similar)
  • Must be a certified snowboard instructor (AASI, CASI, BASI, or similar)
  • To teach powder lessons must be at least Avalanche Level 1 certified
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment and adapt quickly to the changing needs
  • A passion for skiing/snowboarding and the outdoors
  • A passion for customer service along with a strong desire to achieve goals & target
  • Flexible to work various shifts including public holidays and weekends
  • A high standard of work ethic and attention to detail
  • An ability to foster team spirit with a positive attitude
