Snow removal is a physically demanding job and the individual may be required to conduct job duties in harsh weather conditions. Individuals must be physical fit and have the proper wear to combat the frigid cold, and wet weather.

Working Hours and conditions

This is a full-time position and the selected candidate will be compensated 1,000 yen an hour. The manager may be asked to wake up as early as 7:20 a.m. Individuals may work between 5-6 days a week depending on how busy it is. During peak season, the manager may be asked to work overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Train and manage a small team to ensure snow clearing and recycling are done properly and efficiently

-          Remove snow and lay salt on walkways and common areas

-          Ensure that the materials are disposed in the correct bin

-          Bring recycling and non-recycling materials out to the collection site following the waste disposal calendar

-          Speak to tenants about recycling schemes

-          Keep detailed management reports of sites you perform service on

-          Communicate to management team statuses and issues onsite

 

Skill Set:

-          Reliable and keeps all public and common area safe and clean

-          Independent and be able to perform job duties with little supervision

-          Mechanical knowledge and experience using snow blowers (preferably Honda models)

-          Experience in snow removal is preferred

-          Understand storm processes and know how to effectively clear property

-          Knowledge of complex recycling system in Japan
