*Each resort's figures come from the nearest official JMA surface station, typically sited in the valley or town below the resort rather than on the mountain itself. Snowfall generally increases with elevation, so on-mountain totals can run higher than what a valley station records. Because the station-to-summit elevation gap varies by resort, we've deliberately stopped short of comparing one resort's numbers against another's.
