Gone are the days where season recap videos were a simply a collection of everyone’s phone footage stitched together hastily over a couple of tunes. This 2019/20 season recap from First Fall Films is as cinematic as it is inspiring, giving us a real glimpse into life as a Myoko seasonaire – the best powder days, the parties, the camaraderie.

2019/20 was a tough season for anyone working in Japan, for more than a few reasons. The snowfall was – according to the filmmakers – “the lowest the locals had seen in 40 years”, but you wouldn’t know it by watching the crew as they have the time of their lives, and it only goes to show that the worst seasons in Japan still produce some pretty epic days on snow.
