Hokkaido Ski Club instructors put Flaxta's new Deep Space helmet to the test in Niseko, Japan
The all-new Flaxta Deep Space helmet has drawn inspiration from time and space far away. So many times, skiers find themselves in these outer space like environments that create a unique landscape. The natural mountainous environment can be very harsh and surreal.
And that is why the design of this helmet makes for functional and safe headwear. It indeed is the most versatile freeride all-mountain ski helmet. For skiers and snowboarders, those who enjoy the elegant look and park riders will also enjoy this cool helmet. We have been testing it in Niseko, Hokkaido for the last two seasons and helped shape the design by giving feedback to the Flaxta team in Sweden.
The MIPS version of Deep Space helmet weighs 550g; if you are looking for a little lighter version, the non-MIPS model will be 520g.
The main features of this helmet are the unique round yet sharp lines design that fits the Flaxta goggles perfectly. We prefer the Episode goggles or the Prime to give us the best look.

The helmet comes with the MIPS added brain safety protection with the EPS moulded shell. It is genuinely the most technically advanced helmet on the market at the moment.
The goggle ventilation works well; even on the big powder days, the goggles will never fog up. The top head ventilation provides sufficient sweat extraction and keeps your head well ventilated.
The Primaloft liner keeps your head warm, and the memory foam like inserts adjust to different head shapes easily. The top feature of this helmet is also the back of the adjustable head strap. It is easy to use and comes in an extra-large size, so it comfortably wraps your head inside the helmet for a snug and comfortable fit.
The earpads provide plenty of space to use your earphones and enough room for ear comfort that the balance sensory is not affected by wearing this helmet. The helmet also comes with the ”SpeedLock” magnetic buckle, which is super helpful and effortless closing.
Overall the helmet is the most advanced and functional piece of protective wear we have ever used. We suggest pairing it with Flaxta goggles for the best effect and functionality.
