“Japan finally delivered” for a crew of Youtubers chasing powder in Hakuba
Sometimes, chasing powder means enduring a little everything Japan has to offer. That’s exactly what the crew at Rise & Alpine experienced, and they captured it beautifully in their most recent upload.
“From rain to ice to bluebird days, we’ve seen everything Japan can throw at us so far and loved it all the same. But today… we finally got what we came for — light, dry, champagne powder. And lots of it!”
The video takes viewers to Hakuba Cortina, a resort “famous for its absolutely insane tree skiing, both on the resort and beyond the backcountry gates.”
“With over 50 cm overnight, the mountain finally came alive and the snow kept nuking all day long. And the best part? This is just the beginning. Weather stations and local news are calling for the biggest storm Japan has seen in the past 10 years, and we couldn’t be better positioned to take advantage of it.”
