Footage from the worst snowboard season in Japan
Turns out Japan’s worst snow season in decades can still produce some epic conditions, such was the case for the SnowboardProCamp crew on their recent trip to Niseko.
In their own words: “In this snowboard video we’re snowboarding in Niseko, Japan in possibly the worst winter season in decades. When we first arrived in Japan the weather forecast was only calling for traces of snow. Luckily on our first day of snowboarding we woke up to over forty centimetres of fresh powder.”
“So far this has been our best snowboard trip to Japan and we’re feeling super thankful for the snow.”
Lesson learned! Never write off Niseko.

Hi Mael,
This video was filmed by SnowboardProCamp (their channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtDdB-mu47GeMOroAQOb0Sg) and it’s in Niseko, not Hakuba.
Hakuba has had a tough start to the season, but the past few days have been great with plenty of snow in the forecast for the week ahead. Suggest you follow this Facebook page for an honest assessment of conditions: https://www.facebook.com/hakuba1/
For a quote on accommodation in Hakuba, please fill in some details on this page: https://skiasia.com/travel/japan/
Thanks
