The long-awaited film from the makers of The Art of Flight

The trailer for the highly anticipated “The Fourth Phase” has dropped, and there’s a lot to like. Shot in superb 4K, the film features iconic American snowboarder Travis Rice and his desire to follow the hydrological cycle around the north Pacific – a natural phenomenon that is described in the trailer as a “beautifully choreographed cycle of life.”

“The ocean traps the sun’s heat energy and turns it into a solar engine”, says Rice. “This is the fuel that helps drive our winters.”

The Fourth Phase enters Japan

The 16,000 mile journey takes Rice and his crew through some truly incredible locations around the globe, not least to the beautiful northern Japan Alps in and around Hakuba, Japan. Rice is also joined by “several of snowboarding’s most innovative riders”, including Mark Landvik, Eric Jackson, Bryan Iguchi, Pat Moore, Mikkel Bang, Jeremy Jones, Victor de Le Rue and Ben Ferguson.
