Kiroro partners with Australian resorts to offer free skiing
Kiroro season pass holders to be offered free skiing at Hotham Alpine Resort and Falls Creek.
Kiroro Resort has today announced a partnership with Australian ski resorts Hotham Alpine Resort and Falls Creek. In a move that will excite Australian skiers, the partnership will allow Kiroro’s 2017/18 season passholders a free lift ticket at either of the Australian resorts for every night of accommodation booked through their respective websites.
To put this in perspective, the cost of a Kiroro season pass is ¥72,000 (AU$817). Single day adult passes at Hotham Alpine Resort and Falls Creek are priced at AU$129 and AU$123 respectively (with multi-day discounts available at both resorts).
The announcement from Kiroro is the latest in a series of new international partnerships. In addition to its place in the Hokkaido Ski Season Net and Powder Alliance (which offer season passholders benefits to a string of resorts in Japan and overseas), Kiroro has also joined forces with NZSki, Thaiwoo (China), Åre (Sweden), Masella (Spain), Grand Targhee (USA), La Parva (Chile) and Grandvalira (Andorra).
It is an impressive list of international allies from a resort that has only in recent years built up its reputation as one of Hokkaido’s biggest powder magnets. For Australian skiers looking to spend a good chunk of time on the Japanese slopes this season, Kiroro – and its season pass – should be given some serious thought.
