Vote in the 2022 Ski Asia Awards before May 31
Voting has opened for the 2022 Ski Asia Awards, a poll of the region’s skiers designed to reveal Asia’s best ski resorts, hotels, lodges, snowsports school and backcountry guiding operations. It is the third year the Awards have run, after a hiatus in 2021.
Voting will remain open until May 31, with winners announced in June via Ski Asia’s Facebook page and email newsletter.
In the Japan category, Lotte Arai resort will look to extend its run of dominance, after capturing a total of five awards in 2019 and 2020, including the title of Japan’s Best Ski Resort (Overall) in both years.
In the South Korea and China categories, reigning “Best ski resort” winners Yongpyong and Sun Mountain Yabuli will look to repeat their efforts.
Ski Asia Editor Rupert Orchard welcomed the relaunch of the Awards, encouraging skiers to get behind the businesses that have served them well.
“It’s been another tough season for Asia’s ski resorts without access to key international markets. We see this as an opportunity for the region’s skiers to throw their support behind their favourite resorts and businesses.”
“Amongst our readers, we’re already seeing a burning desire for the resumption of international travel to Asia’s skiing regions. It’s been a long wait.”
“We know the demand to travel is there; these awards will help us gauge which destinations are featuring in people’s plans.”
Readers can vote in any of the 11 awards, which cover categories from Japan, China and South Korea. Voters will go into the draw to win a ¥10,000 gift voucher from Rhythm Japan.
