After a mixed start to December, the powder returns to Niseko.

It’s been an up-and-down start to the season for Japanese ski resorts, with an epic November snowfall kicking things off, before a lull that had everyone wondering: when’s the snow coming back? But the last few days have brought a return to the classic conditions December is known for, with 24 hour snowfall totals of up to 60cm in parts of Japan.

Local Niseko site and snow reporter 360Niseko has tallied 70cm over the last three days, and the results are on display for all to see in a video titled “Conditions here in Niseko”, which was posted on December 19.

Spoiler alert: the conditions are pretty damn good.
