Ritz-Carlton confirms Niseko opening date
Higashiyama Niseko Village, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve to open in December, 2020
Ritz-Carlton will forge ahead with plans for a 2020 opening date in Niseko, confirming in a press release that the luxury hotel will open its doors to visitors on December 15, 2020. The announcement comes amidst concern over the viability of an international ski season, with travel bans and border closures likely to limit the number of tourists entering Japan.
The hotel is the latest in a long line of high-profile, luxury Niseko developments, and will follow the recent opening of the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono earlier this year.
It joins multi-time World Ski Awards winner Hilton Niseko Village at the base of Niseko Village, one of the four resorts that make up Niseko United.
