Rusutsu Resort has made the decision to run lifts on a limited schedule for the 2020/21 season, announcing that six lifts would be closed permanently and others operated on a temporary basis. In addition, the Freedom Park (East Mt.) and Side Country Park (West Mt.) will not open.

The post named the Yotei Gondola, East Quad, East No.2 Pair, Isola No.4 Quad, Isola No.5 Pair, and the Across No.1 Pair as the lifts that would be put on ice.

The resort has otherwise indicated that it will open as planned on December 4, though it will do so with a host of safety measures designed to limit the spread of COVID-19 – as has been the case through its summer operation period.
