Award-winning photojournalist and filmmaker Shane Peel has clearly fallen in love with Niseko, Japan. 5 Niseko Stories is his second project filmed in Japan’s snowiest and most internationally recognised resort, and it features the epic conditions that have put Niseko on the map as one of the top global destinations in snowsports.

The film is broken into 5 segments, taking viewers into the lives of featured riders Yohei Sasaki, Nat Segal, Boen Ferguson and Toshiya Kasuga – all of whom have been inspired by Niseko in their own special way.

They are joined on screen by a host of talented team riders from Oyuki including Harrison McInnes, Adam Kroenert, Charlie Steinbacher, Rikuto Ohashi, Matt Hampton, as well as Olympic snowboarder Jenny Jones and backcountry guide Owain Bassett.
