Niseko records 16 metres before March

Niseko has one of its best winters in recent years, and there's plenty of snow still to come.

Niseko is enjoying one of its best seasons in recent memory, with 16 metres of snow falling already according to a report published by niseko.com. The bumper season takes the resort well past its average of 14 metres, with more than a metre of snow in the forecast over the next seven days.

Proof that the Niseko spring can (on occasions) be as potent as its winter, most of that snowfall will fall on the first two days of March, with Mountainwatch.com tipping an almost unbelievable 51 cm for Wednesday. Spring skiing in true Niseko style!
