Snowboarding and surfing in Hokkaido with Jamie O’Brien
Former professional surfer Jamie O’Brien has temporarily traded the golden sand and crystal clear water of O’ahu, Hawaii for Hokkaido’s famous powder. O’Brien, a former Pipeline Master, has become better known in recent years for his antics in the Red Bull web series “Who is JOB” where, among many other things, he has taken on pipeline in a tandem kayak and skied through the streets of Indonesia.
Now with his own YouTube channel (but the same old crew), he visits Niseko, Japan, where they shred chest deep powder and rescue JOB’s sidekick, “Poopies” from a rather large hole. In their second video from the trip, the crew decides to try surfing in Hokkaido, scoring waves (very small) and water temps (very cold) that they’re probably not so accustomed to in Hawaii.
